Hunting Information

Hunt for a medal-winning ram in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands under Roštejn Castle. The hunt typically takes place using the methods of waiting or stalking during the early morning or evening hours when mouflons come out of the forests to feed on the adjacent fields. The ideal time is during the November rut, when you can hear the clashing of the rams’ horns from afar, as well as from August to September. Hunting a ram in winter coat on snow is especially charming. During free time, we will visit Roštejn Castle, the fairytale town of Telč (a UNESCO World Heritage site), or enjoy local pubs with traditional Czech cuisine and draft beer.

Catch your medal ram in the Bohemian-Moravian highlands below Roštejn Castle. The hunting itself is traditionally carried out by the so-called in the early morning or in the evening, when the mouflons come out of the forests to look for food in the adjacent fields.
