Experience hunting Canadian moose in the northern territories of British Columbia, Canada, in a vast hunting area with a very good population not only of moose but also of black bears ("baribal") and Rocky Mountain goats. The hunt itself is thrilling, where you will have the chance to track your trophy of a lifetime with a guide. The hunting area consists of beautiful, diverse landscapes with mountains, lakes, large wetlands, and meadows. Hunt Information The area where we hunt is known for its strong population of Canadian moose with trophy sizes ranging from 52 to 60 inches (130 cm - 150 cm), with some giant specimens exceeding 60 inches (150 cm) being harvested each year. This area will surely captivate you with its nature, where valleys give way to plateaus and huge mountains with clear lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. The region is an excellent combination for hunters seeking relaxation and adventure in untouched nature and unparalleled hunting opportunities, where the high game population leads to a high success rate. The base hunting camp is located in the heart of the hunting area. It is easily accessible by off-road vehicle or ATV. The camp is fully equipped and provides a base for hunters to venture out for hunting. For the "fly-in" hunt, focusing on larger moose, you will spend most of your time in the wilderness, camping in comfortable wool tents, with local guides providing culinary experiences over the fire. From the base camp, you will travel a few kilometers north to a place where you will fly by a small plane to Blue Lake, further into the remote Canadian wilderness.
The hunting season runs from September to early November, but it is best to plan your hunt during the rut in late September or early October. We primarily focus on moose hunting, but the hunt can also be combined with hunting other game species or spiced up with fishing. We hunt moose actively by stalking. Since we spend a lot of time in the wilderness, we recommend being in good physical condition. In addition to stalking, we also use boats to travel along the river and scan the riverbanks with binoculars. If needed, the boat trip is combined with a short hike, where the guide uses a caller to lure the moose closer. This method of hunting is not as physically demanding and is suitable for less fit hunters. However, do not be tempted to think that boat hunting is only for older people, as it is important to remember the local law and custom that nothing is left behind, so everything that is harvested must be taken and utilized. The never-ending rivers and vastness of the land, combined with the hiking, will forever be etched in your memory as one of the most beautiful hunts. It is also suitable for those who want to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the world.
Weather Regarding the weather, we can expect anything from strong sun to frost and snow. Therefore, it is necessary to be prepared for various conditions. The basics are layers of quality functional clothing. Before the hunting trip, we recommend monitoring the weather forecast for the area. One of the necessities is proper footwear. You need sturdy and waterproof boots that will protect you during longer hikes in the wilderness. We also recommend packing waterproof clothing, such as a poncho, which is lightweight, packable into a small pocket, and can protect you from rain if needed.
Weapons and Ammunition To simplify travel, quality hunting rifles can be rented on-site for a fee. If you decide to hunt with your own rifle, suitable calibers are medium calibers above 6mm, with locals considering .308Win or .243Win and stronger as ideal. Regarding ammunition, soft-point or semi-jacketed bullets are recommended. Full metal jacket bullets or bullets with plastic tips are expressly prohibited.

Difficulty
For trips marked with this type of difficulty, moderate to moderate demands are placed on the hunter's physical condition. However, they are manageable for everyone who likes smaller challenges. We encounter this degree of difficulty mainly in mountain types of hunting, when hunting is mainly at the foot of slopes or in lower mountain locations.
