The transport of hunting trophies from Africa is among the topics that raise questions for many hunters, as it involves administration, time, and distance. For this reason, especially when hunting in Namibia, it is important to have a partner who ensures the entire process professionally and transparently, without requiring the client to navigate local regulations, permits, or logistics.
Our hunting travel agency provides complete trophy transport from Namibia, from the moment of processing on site through to delivery to the place of residence. Throughout the entire process, the client communicates exclusively with us and does not need to deal with local processors, authorities, or shipping companies.
The process begins directly in the destination after a successful hunt. On site, the trophy is professionally processed according to the selected method, most commonly in the form of dip and pack, meaning preservation and preparation for transport, or alternatively as a skin or a fully mounted specimen. The client chooses the method of preparation during the stay and signs the hunting protocol on site, which serves as the fundamental document for the subsequent procedure. From this moment, we assume full responsibility for the further course of the process.
We arrange all necessary permits and administrative requirements, including veterinary certificates, export documentation, CITES permits where applicable, as well as customs formalities upon arrival at the place of residence. After returning from the destination, the client does not need to handle any authorities or paperwork. Once the documentation has been completed, a proportional advance payment for transport and related fees is invoiced. After the trophies are delivered to the place of residence, the total cost is precisely calculated and the remaining balance is invoiced, or part of the advance payment is refunded if the actual costs were lower.
The transport timeline depends on several factors, particularly local conditions, processor capacity, the chosen shipping method, and weather conditions. In practice, this is a process that takes several months.
The transport itself is carried out either by air freight or sea freight, depending on the nature of the shipment, current logistical possibilities, and the client’s budget. In general, we recommend air transport due to its speed and the resulting reduction of potential damage caused by humidity and similar factors. Upon arrival at the place of residence, we arrange delivery of the trophies to the agreed location. If requested, we can also arrange delivery directly to the client’s home for an additional fee. Should the client choose to use the services of our verified taxidermist, we will arrange transport of the trophy directly to them and subsequently, within the price of the taxidermy work, delivery to your home. At the same time, we are able to provide our clients with preferential conditions for taxidermy services. If the client has their own taxidermist, the trophy can be collected after arrival according to the client’s preferences.
The entire process is designed so that the hunter can focus exclusively on the hunt itself and the African experience. From the moment of harvest to the delivery of the trophy home, the client has the assurance that every step is supervised by an experienced partner familiar with both local conditions and European requirements. The hunter can therefore rely on the trophy transport from the African continent being carried out in an organized manner, without unnecessary complications, and under professional supervision.
