Origin:
Duikers (Cephalophinae) are small to medium-sized hoofed mammals belonging to a subfamily of antelopes. They originate from tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, where they inhabit dense forests, savannas, and mountainous areas. They are named after the tuft of hair on their heads.

Characteristics:

Appearance: Duikers have compact bodies with short legs, which allow them to move quickly and agilely through dense vegetation. Most species have a small tuft of hair on the head and short, straight horns (present in both sexes or only in males depending on the species). Their coat colour ranges from grey-brown to reddish-brown.
Size: Duiker species vary significantly in size – the smallest weigh only 5–7 kg, while the largest (such as the yellow-backed duiker) can reach up to 70 kg.
