The Alpine ibex is undoubtedly the king of game in the alpine region of Europe. This robust, dark-colored animal with a small beard and thicker, straighter horns compared to other ibex species is a true trophy. Living at high altitudes, it moves agilely in steep terrain, usually above the tree line or below the snow line. This hunt, especially in Slovenia, is one of the most prestigious in Europe due to the relative scarcity, the challenging terrain, and the quality of the experience, with licenses sold out years in advance.

Hunting Information
The Alpine ibex is active during the day and is primarily hunted by stalking and observation from the mountain ridge. Depending on the season, the hunt takes place throughout the day. You will hunt your gold-scoring ibex under Mount Krn in the beautiful setting of the Julian Alps, where we will try to quietly approach the area where the ibex graze on mountain meadows during the day through light walking and observation.
Weather
In August, we can expect stable and pleasant weather, but given the nature of mountain hunting and the altitude, this cannot be guaranteed.
Equipment and Gear
Due to the weather and the nature of mountain hunting, it is important to have suitable clothing that is sufficiently breathable for necessary walking. Layers of quality functional clothing and sturdy high boots are essential. Medium to high calibers over 7mm with a flat trajectory are suitable for shooting at longer distances. For these longer distances, we recommend a quality spotting scope or rifle scope with a ballistic turret. We also suggest bringing a comfortable backpack to carry personal items such as a water bottle, spare clothing after the ascent, and snacks.
